Uxbridge Is A Town
Uxbridge is a town in Middlesex - it really is a lot of fun. At the end of the London Underground's Metropolitan Line, Uxbridge stands, surrounded by some of the most picturesque places in the UK. West Drayton, Cowley, Hayes to name just three. There is a smashing Woolworths, and a Shoe Express.
Windsor Street is like, really, really old. Nobody actually goes down Windsor Street so we've no idea what's down there. There's probably an old Cobblers down there, and a bookshop, there's almost certainly a Christian Bookshop - almost certainly.
Use this website to find out more about Uxbridge - hotly tipped to be the next European Capital of Culture after Liverpool are done with it. Goody.

Adding Fun
Some of the best places is Uxbridge are as follows:
Woolworths
- budget homewear and music. We think they still sell cassettes.
Reels - Home of Some Cracking fruit machines.
Flex - Keep fit on a budget
The Good Yarn - Last time we went there, you could get a
full meal and a beer for 7p.
There are other great places to go in Uxbridge too. You could hang out with the goths on the benches outside the Pavillions. The Pavillions have been surpassed by the wonderful "Chimes" and is now, affectionately known as, "The Pikey Mall".
The Crown and Treaty is a pub in Uxbridge, it's a bit of a walk from the tube station, you have to come out of the front entrance to the station and "do a right", keep walking for approximately half a mile and you'll eventually happen upon the Uxbridge's oldest building. Lots of bands play there, and they've got some DJs and stuff. There's some wood panels upstairs that were once owned by The Queen, or something. And it's where the Treaty of Versaille was signed. Dick Whittington used to live there.

Dick Whittington used to live in the Crown and Treaty, his cat is rumoured to live upstairs in a ghostly cat basket.
One of the best bands to have hailed from Uxbridge Town are The Mavericks, most famous for their multi-million selling "Dance The Night Away". Conventional wisdown suggests that "The Mavs" come from America but this is just a ruse. They were brought up on The Cowley Road between Uxbridge and West Drayton and they recorded their first demos in the legendary "Fountains Mill" recording studio. After playing gig after gig to empty public houses, the band moved to Florida in The United States Of The Americas, where they made it "big".
